Making good meal choices is a matter of choice. When you have the option of deciding what to put into your body, food quality should come first. Here are my favorite go-to healthy food options that taste delicious, pack in the nutrients and are Total Package Approved. That mean they fit into my very strict guidelines to ensure no added sugars, trans fats or other ingredients that may negatively impact your health.

Monkfruit+ Natural Sweetener

My go-to all natural sweetener with zero calories and no impact on blood sugar. Use in any of my recipes for beverages or baking.

Collagen Peptides

Collagen is a clean protein source and it goes well stirred into beverages or smoothies. It is essentially flavorless and doesn’t impact the texture of your foods or drinks. Collagen is important for our hair, skin and nails. Here’s my favorite brand, for their consistency and reasonable price. Orgain also makes other versions, with greens and other superfoods which are great, but if you’re looking for a stealthy protein add-in, this is for you.

Spirulina

This deep green sea veggie is high in vitamin A, and also a decent source of protein. This pouch size is perfect as a starter.

Barley Grass Powder

Barley grass powder is highly nutrient dense and easily added to smoothies. Loaded with High Proteins, All Essential Amino Acids, Rich Fatty Acids, Immune Vitamins (Vitamin C), Zinc Vitamin, Enzyme and Dietary Fiber.

Dulce Flakes

Sea veggies are packed with phytonutrients and can easily be added to smoothies. This brand is sustainably-harvested in some of the cleanest waters in the world and tested for microbes, heavy metals, radioactivity, and other pollutants. A good source of vegetable protein, dietary fiber, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorous, vitamins, anti-oxidants, iodine and other trace minerals.

Flaxseed Meal

Flaxseed is high in omega-3’s and considered to be a healthy fat that helps lower your LDL and increase your HDL. Adding flaxseed meal to smoothies and other meals helps balance blood sugar and will keep you satiated longer. This is my all time favorite brand.

Digestive Enzymes

As we enter into later stages in our life, our ability to break down our food can become more challenging. Digestive enzymes are ideal for helping metabolize food, and reduce bloating and gas that we can sometimes experience. Take one capsule about 20 minutes before each meal. Ideal for detoxifying meal plans too.

Probiotic Capsules

Probiotics support a healthy gut biome. Here’s a brand with 10 strains, 60 billion cfu’s (colony forming units) and you only need to take one each day.

Whey Protein Isolate

Keeping it simple with highly bio-available plain whey protein powder.
